I'm bored and haven't updated in a while, so I decided to post a few thoughts on random cartoons. As you might've noticed, I have a soft spot for all animation, whether it be anime, CGI, or just cartoons in general... (Be forewarned, I do get rather ranty in these.)

Rivalries in Pokemon Black & White )

Women in G.I. Joes: Renegades )

( My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic )

I have to admit it, I watched the new MLP to see what the fuss was a all about. Of course, the first episode I watched had ponies having slumber parties and makeovers, which was enough to make me want to change the channel after 30 seconds. ;P

But I gave it a second chance, and I must say, it is a refreshing change to see female cartoon characters who are female AND characters. (My favourite ponies? Applejack, Rarity and Fluttershy. ;D) Oh, and Twilight Sparkle reminds me a bit of FE8's Lute...

*stares at the actor pics for live-action Avatar*

Gah, Katara and Sokka look so... White. :/ I'm beginning to see what all the fuss was about when casting for the movie; being of Asian descent myself (my parents are Filipino), I'm somewhat disappointed.

Seriously, you couldn't find a couple of actors who looked more like the characters, to play the roles? (I know appearances shouldn't matter, but...) At least Aang and Zuko look more like their parts, I guess (although having a darker-skinned actor as one of the "villains" annoys me, for some reason).

EDIT: I feel I have explain why this ticks me off so much... You rarely get to see any dark-skinned heroines on TV, and since I have fairly brown skin, Katara is a character someone of my colouration could concievably cosplay (or Ember Island Katara, considering my current weight ;P).

Because of this, I also get annoyed at villains being dark-haired all the time; I really want to write a blonde villainess (not white-blonde, just blonde) one of these days...

Ugh, looks like FF.net decided to strip some symbols from older stories, now. I need to remember to go back and check which stories need to be reposted, since I used asterisks and ampersands as dividers for some of my older fics... What a pain. (Not to mention that the brackets and other symbols will be stripped from the old story summaries once I do the repost... Bleah.)

I'm so glad I use xXxXx as dividers now, they can't take those away... I hope. :P

This is the dub VA for Edward Elric doing a parody of a WoW commercial. :D (To be honest, he doesn't seem to be using his "Ed" voice in it, but it's still amusing... To me at least. ;)

And on a related topic, I always get incensed when people rip on people who do the English dub voices for anime... Sure, there are some terrible dubs out there (Sailor Moon comes to mind, even though I have fond memories of the show), but most dubs these days are very well-done.

I always want to smack those elitist bastards who say that all dubs suck; some people have to watch, say, Cartoon Network to watch any anime, rather than download it all off the internet, you know...

Okay, got that out of my system. (Sorry about that, it really is one of my hot buttons. >:P)

Well, I finished editing the lyrics out of two of my stories on FF.net, as per their new rule (aka no more songfics).

While I know this will get rid of the angsty songfics that are set to Evanescence(sp?) and are mostly lyrics, I'm kind of cranky that I had to edit my older fics, since a lot of the formatting in my backup files isn't allowed anymore. :P (And using underlines to replace the asterisks looks odd to me...)

I'm also rather worried about my FMA song parody, as well; I don't want to take it down, but would it fall into that catagory? I rewrote the lyrics, though... :/

EDIT: Oh hell, I just noticed that anything violating the "no lyrics" rule might result in account closure. Looks like I may have to take down the song parody just in case, since I'd like to keep what few reviews I have, thank you very much. >:P
