So, OneManga is going down for good, huh... I'm guessing that it's just a matter of time before MangaFox is gone too. :/ (I use MangaFox more, but it's terrible for ads; OneManga seemed to be better in that regard.)

Still, I was kind of expecting this... And because of that, I've been on a manga reading spree lately. ;P

So, in tribute to one of the best manga reader sites on the 'Net, I'm posting a few of my recent picks in terms of manga. Enjoy them while they last... (You've only got a week!)

(BTW, I'm just going to post reviews, not summaries; you can check those on the site.)

The World Only God Knows )

1/2 Prince )

Oishii Kankei, Bambino! )

Ten no Ryuu Chi no Sakura )

Ice Revolution )

These are just a few of my recent manga picks; there's a lot of better known ones I read too, like Detective Conan and Skip Beat. I just thought that some of these lesser known manga should get some attention before OneManga goes down for good. ;_;

Oh. Um. Wow.

Just read the latest FMA manga; can't wait to see how they resolve this. O_o

I must say, Fullmetal Alchemist has to have the most well-rounded plot I've ever read in a manga, IMO; no really drawn-out storylines, and every character introduced has been relevant in some way. I have a few minor quibbles, but overall, I've been very impressed. Can't wait to see how they end the manga (which is soon!)

Also, FMA: Brotherhood is debuting on Adult Swim this Saturday; I can't wait to see the new dub! (And on TV no less! :D)

I could go on what I really like (and don't like) about FMA, but I may save that for later. ;)

Sadly, I spent the evening watching the second season of Chi's Sweet Home (I was bored, okay?). I forgot how addictive those three-minute shorts are... Also, kitties. :3

It also reminded me that I should look up Nyan Koi! again... It's an anime/manga about a guy who breaks a cat shrine and is then cursed to help 100 cats, or he will be turned into a cat himself (oh, did I mention that the guy is allergic to cats?). Normally I'm not big on harem anime/manga, but I'd like to think that the talking kitties balance it out. ;3

*goes back to watching Chi's Sweet Home*

Been reading the recent FMA manga... I forgot how awesome Roy and Riza are. <3 So glad my Warcraft characters are named after them, even though I don't necessarily live up to their namesakes. XD

Checking out the new FMA anime now... Going to need something new to watch now that the Tales of the Abyss anime is over. :( Like I mentioned to someone, the new FMA series may be restarting from the beginning, but at least it isn't endless filler like most anime, these days... >_>

*watching episode* Eee, Al! I missed you, too! <3 (I wonder if it's true that the English dub voices for Ed and Al will be the same, like the Japanese ones? 'Cause I love Al's voice, even though he may be grown up by now... ;)

EDIT: Cut for mild FMA anime spoilers )

I occasionally stop by the local bookstore to read... Er, browse various manga. ^_^; The ones I've been keeping up with lately include Fruits Basket, Prince of Tennis, Boys Before Flowers (which I actually find kind of off-putting at times, but it's like a soap opera; I have to find out what happens next).

I was also checking out the manga version of FMA today (Al seems a little more girl crazy in the manga; at least, in the silly mini-comic strips at the end of the manga, heh).

Anyways... Accidently ran into a major spoiler for Fruits Basket tonight. ^_^; Come to think of it, I ran into a different one for Furaba about a month ago as well... And both involved Akito. D'oh! (Reminds me how miffed I was when I accidently found out who Pride was in FMA... :P)

Oh, well. The hazards of trawling the internet... (And both Furaba spoilers do explain a lot...)
