Aw crud, they took Tales of the Abyss off of Crunchyroll? I know it's great that they can air stuff with permission now, but it means I have to get my online fix elsewhere, and I don't like downloading eps... Oh, well.

And Luke finally stopped being a jerk, too. I swear, he was the most unlikable protagonist I've come across since Light Yagami (What, main characters can't be likable anymore? Granted, ToA is old, but I've never played the game, so...) I didn't even find Luke sympathetic after he got all emo after killing a human, I disliked him that much (I was just screaming at him to grow a backbone :/). I know he's supposed to be a replica and all, but yeesh...

Still, I do like Luke now that he seems to regret his previous behaviour (which may be OOC, but at least I find him likable now :P). I also like the fact that his group didn't readily re-accept him right away... Oh, and I like Luke's new haircut, too. XD For some reason, his long, orange-tipped red hair always annoyed me (as does his bare midriff, but that's beside the point - still, it's as ridiculous on a male swordsman as it would be on a female, which seems much more common ;).

But despite my dislike for Luke (which isn't a problem now) I do enjoy watching the ToA anime... My favourite character? Jade, of course, with Guy a close second (but I already knew that would be the case ;). Now, I'm tempted to get the game, but I just don't care for RTS...

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a couple of ToA dub eps to catch up with... (There's an aviatrix in this ep, too! XD)

Psst. And the speed subs usually show up within twenty-four hours, unlike CrunchyRoll.

Actually, in the game, Luke's turn-around, post-Akzeriuth, was even faster. The anime actually stretches it out a bit more (which is weird, because time's a lot more limited), which I appreciate, because it's a lot more realistic.

Jade is amazing. ♥ He's my second-favourite, after Peony. The two of them together are epic, though. XD There's several more scenes in the game that probably won't show up in the anime along the same lines as "Ah, you must be the ones dragging my Jade all over the place and keeping him away from home." So awesome.

Yeah, I found that site while searching for ToA eps (although I originally got errors when loading the page). I ended up watching episode 14 on Veoh.

Yeah, I knew I would like Jade when I saw him. ;) Snarky, glasses-wearing guy who can kick butt? Yes, please! XD

Huh, that's odd. I had no problem watching Episode 14 on that site a few days ago. Then again, [livejournal.com profile] yo_san has trouble with ZOMG Anime, too, for no reason I can discern. o_o;

What's also awesome is, for a Tales game, Jade's an old man--he's thirty-five, same as Dist, and Peony's even a year older. (The next oldest party member is Guy at twenty-one. XD)

I do find Jade's maturity to be one of his selling points. :) I also find it funny that Luke's party has both Anise and Jade, the former being a Lolita character, and the latter being (what I consider to be) its polar opposite: an older, male character who appeals to female fans. XD
