I was PvPing on my fire mage Roy Mustang earlier, when someone asks me, "Are you a real mustang?" This prompts me to reply, "Um, no?"
Now, I'm used to people asking if I'm named after the character from FMA, or even if I own a Mustang (the car XD). But I was thinking he meant if I was the member of a sports team or something. ^_^;
So the guy proceeds to explain to me that a "mustang" is an enlisted soldier who goes to college and becomes an officer, or an officer who is killed and gets field promoted to officer. I thought that was an interesting fact, and that the definition actually fits Roy well... Well, the first one, anyways. ;) (Kind of reminds of me when I stumbled across a relevant dictionary definition while I was reading "A Separate Peace" in 9th Grade, and found out that Brinker's name suited him very well; a "brinker" being someone who talks about going to war, but never actually does it.)
This has been Avi's nerdy moment of the day; we will now return you to your regularly scheduled fangirling.
