Man, I'm bored... Um, hi all. ^_^;
Been playing Summon Night for the GBA for the past few days... I know a couple of people on my friends list are playing it already, but I suggest you give the game a try if you want some quick, goofy fun (if only because of the sexual ambiguity in the game - how did this get rated E? XD)
You see, you get to choose whether to play as a boy or a girl, and because the storyline doesn't seem to change too much between both hero/heroine, there are some definate slashy overtones (for example, you can choose a female fairy as your familiar as the girl, but she will still consider you her fiance XD)
Then there are the choice of human love interests/platonic relationships which include:
- an ultra-feminist
- the perky, androgenous character (boy or girl? no one knows!)
- the snarky, rich boy/rival
- the mentor/father figure whose interest in the main character borders on the pedophilic ^_^;
In typical fangirl fashion, I've fixated on one of the characters (namely, the aforementioned mentor -_-;). Which brings me to my next pointless rambling...
Now, I love complex costumes on anime-style characters... But I do find sometimes that there is a lot of extraneous junk on them that is purely decorative (which is the point, I suppose - it still doesn't seem practical to wear, though).
Anyways, I've been trying to figure out what the heck that black thing on Sakuro's jacket is (see current LJ layout ^_^;). No, not his undershirt, the thing above his glove. It looks like a handle... What's it for? To make his jacket easier forfangirls to rip off him to remove?
Well, I finally figured out what it was, by examining the uniforms from one of the other characters in the game, and taking another look at Sakuro's ending CGI. It's a fastening on his jacket, which isn't buttoned. Cool!
Yeah, I've been thinking about this way too much. :P But that's mostly because I want try and to draw his costume...
*looks at LJ layout* Damn thing still looks like a handle in that shot. XP
