Olympic prattlings

Happily spending Valentine's watching Olympics men's figure skating and scarfing chocolate. (Yes, I like watching pretty boys on ice, so sue me. XD)

It might seem odd, but I usually cheer for the Russians since they're generally more artistic... (Though I root for Canada as well, the top Canadian men's competitor already fell in the short program. *sigh*)

*watches some more* Geez, I forgot how much I hate one of the American skating commentators... He usually dishes out a lot of backhanded compliments, IMO. (Just compared the Swiss guy's costume to his curtains; his outfit wasn't even that flashy. :/)

Figure skating is the one sport I honestly can't watch, just because I spend the whole time cringing and going "They're gonna fall...they're gonna fall...." The Chinese duo proved me right. Poor things--and that woman was incredibly brave and stupid.

On a side note, one of the Canadian men's figure skating athletes looks almost exactly like Botta from ToS. I am incredibly amused.

Eh, I don't blame you - I tend to watch mostly men's skating cause they generally fall less. ;)P

The Canadian guy... I assume you mean Jeffery Buttle? (If Botta has blondish, vaguely spikish hair, I can see the resemblance that I recall from your mood themes. XD)

No, actually, Emanuel Sandhu. He's a little shorter and not quite as muscular, but he has the same beard, the same hair colour and style, the same eye colour, the same nose.... All he needs is the pointed ears and he'd be just about perfect.
