Hmmm... I see FE8 has its first journal-style fanfic on FF.net; one from the POV of Lute, no less. :/ I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and take a look at it (mostly because of the FE8 C2 I run), but I found myself hastily hitting the back button after reading the first paragraph. -_-;

I guess I can be honest, now... I was never a big fan of "The Diary of Erk", a once-popular Fire Emblem fanfic upon which this story is based. (Though the author did refer to one of my stories in the later chapters. ^_^;) And I certainly didn't think much of all the knock-offs it spawned, at the time... Mostly OOC and mediocrely written, are the nicest things I can say about them.

I'm not too worked up over TDOL, though. It's the lone badfic in a sea of goodfic in the English Seima fandom, so I just ignored it in favor of all the good stuff. ^_^

I'll say this about the DoL; it's actually not that badly written, IMO. But the OOCness of the first entry alone makes me want to rend things. :P

And I'm not too concerned the story itself, either; there doesn't seem to be any particular interest in it yet, anyways. ;)P

I wasn't going to look at it, at first... But like I said, since I run the FE8 C2, I felt obligated to glance at it (although not for very long :P).

And ditto about the original fics; at least the FE8 section has been excellent so far. ^_^ (Wonder how long that will last... :/)

I ignore all diary fics like the plague, they're all the same. :P

Now, if I found a bad lesbian pileup lemon where Rachael invited the girls over and they had an orgy with strap-ons and fuzzy handcuffs and ice cubes*, THAT would be badfic worth going OMGWTF NOOOO! over.

*I read a Sailormoon lemon that involved those things plus jello, whips, vibrators, and Makoto doing a striptease to Nine Inch Nails. I'm not kidding. @_@

I'm not a Diary fan. I USED to get some enjoyment out of the Erk one, but that was before I grew a brain for these sorts of things.

Still... Lute, no! I liked you! Why do the badfic authors have to taint your good name!? ;_;
