And because I'm such a nerd, last night I decided to try and figure out the subtleties of chess in Fire Emblem (as mentioned in Lance's and Lot's B Support, which was kindly translated by FireLizard).
According to the support, the pieces in Elibean chess are Knight, Armour Knight, Pegasus, Archer, Swordmaster and Ballista. (Obviously, there are only six types of pieces in regular chess as well; King, Queen, Bishop, Knight, Rook and Pawn.)
So after examining the support convo, I came to this conclusion for what each piece equaled:
King = Armour Knight
Queen = Swordmaster
Bishop = Archer
Knight = Knight
Rook = Pegasus
Pawn = Ballista
How I came to that conclusion, you might ask? Well...

Yes, I drew a diagram. -_-; (And drawing the stupid diagram actually took way longer than puzzling this out. :P) I plugged in the pieces and co-ordinates directly from the support; hopefully I did so correctly...
I surmised from the start that the A. Knight had to equal the King, as it had the lowest movement rate; I also guessed correctly that Swordmaster had to equal the Queen (although that was more of a gut feeling, more than anything else ^_^;).
As for the other chess pieces... I figured that their FE equivalents had to be as I stated above, since I believe that would be only way that Lot could get checked (well, more like checkmate, in this case).
EDIT: Hmmm... Now that I look at this again, it's possible that the Pegasus could actually be the Queen (which would make a heck of a lot more sense); that would make the Swordmaster the Rook, instead. (But having the S. Master as the Queen in this setup has more of an "Aha! Checkmate!" feel to it, I think... ^_~)
... Stop looking at me like that; I like logic puzzles, okay?
Anybody who wants to kick apart my theory, feel free; I happen to be a lousy chess player... *^_^*
