A new year, and it seems I've gotten my writing inspiration back. Yay!

Been brainstorming ideas for my Western version of Fire Emblem, lately... And as much as I dislike merely rewriting the script for the game, this idea just won't leave me alone. ^_~)

Mark Alexander - A historian from the East, he travelled out West for a teaching job, against his parents' wishes.

Lyn (Lynette) Windrider - Her tribe, the Lorca, was killed by band of notorious outlaws; it is she who discovers Mark lost in the desert. (Lyn is still a swordsman in this story; my explanation for this is that her father was in the cavalry, so she learned the art of the sword from him.)

Kent Morgan & Sain Steele - Cavalrymen from the town of Sierra, in search of the granddaughter of the largest landowner in Sierra.

Florina Mariposa - From an Amazonian (Mexican?) tribe, specializing in bounty hunting (no pegasi in this story, I'm afraid ^_~)

Wil Baretta - A sharpshooter passing through a nearby town (he uses a shotgun rather than a bow, though)

Dorcas Moore - A homesteader (woodcutter?) turned outlaw

Matthew Sharper - A conman and thief

Rath Greywolf - Lawman of the town of Araphen (town name to be changed)

Serra Hollingsworth - Sister of St. Elimine, and a snooty Southern belle XD

Erk Horn - A gunman hired to protect Serra (he uses six-shooters rather than a shotgun though; don't worry, he'll still be Erk ^_^)

Ninian & Nils Drake - A wandering saloon singer who is travelling with her brother, a guitar player. (There's something amusing about Ninian belting out melancholy old country tunes... XD)

Lucius White - A travelling priest

Wallace Shaw - Kent and Sain's former commanding officer. (I have no idea what class to make him; it'd be weird for him to use a spear in the West... I think can get away with it with Kent and Sain, since they're mounted. :/)

Other notes:

Lycia = California (please don't kill me ^_^;)
Caelin = Sierra
Bern = Burning Gulch

Still haven't decided what to rename Araphen, Etruria, etc.

Class changes:

Archers = Sharpshooters (And instead of ballistae, they can also use cannons)

Nomad Riders = Plains Riders (Still uses bows, though)

Mages = Gunmen (You need gunmen in a Western, don't you? ^_~ So, would that make Pent, the Marshall of Etruria? XD)

Shamen = Alchemists (Specializing in explosives, and the like)

BTW, the magic triangle would still exist in some form in this story, but only priests and sisters would retain their magical/holy abilities.

If I ever do write this story, I think the Western concept is only viable for Lyn's part of the game... I have no idea how I could still make the story believable for Eliwood's and Hector's sections. (A fencer and and axeman in a Western? :/)

I can't wait for this, really, it sounds SOOO kickass.

Eliwood and Hector could be Englishmen ... or something. I dunno? ^^;; You can do, I'm sure.

I LOVE the idea for Ninian and Nilus, too. <33
