I'm in a better mood now. ^_^

You know, I have come to the conclusion that angst in fanfiction, is like chocolate for most people... They just can't seem to get enough of it. ^_^; Actually, I'd associate angst with dark chocolate, but not everybody likes that flavour... (I actually like dark chocolate, but I don't like writing angst. *^_^*)

So that got me thinking... If my writing was a dessert, it would probably be a cream puff; cute, light-hearted and filled with fluff. ^_^; (For some reason, I also associate humour with whipped cream, because of the cream pie-in-the-face, thing. -_-;) I'd rather it be a meringue or an eclair, but there you go...

And for some reason, I'd associate yaoi with the taste of strawberries... And not just because of the fruity pun. *ducks stuff thrown at her*

...Um, yeah. I've got to stop watching Food Network so much.

*wanders off to eat the cookies she baked*

XD Mmm, food metaphors!

I honestly can't figure out what my fics would taste like. :o

Strawberry-flavoured. ^_^ *avoids looking back at own post* ^_^;

XD You think so? I'd equate them to a cheese sandwich or some kind of fruit. They've got substance but they're still light. XD; Or in the case of "Deceptions", a dark chocolate Dove Bar. Small and bittersweet.

Mmm, Dove bar... :D,, Actually, I was going to equate Empress Dots' fan fiction to dark raspberry truffles, but couldn't think of dessert metaphors except for anyone else on my Friends list (except for you and her), so... ^_^;

...I have to cook tomorrow, you know. Thanks for placing that image in my head.

I'm never able to finish any fanfics, but if I were able to, I'd compare mine to a Jatz cracker. Dull and without real substance, with just a hint of salt, but when dressed up with other foods (or in this case, proper spelling and grammar), can create the illusion that its a decent snack.

And for some reason, I'd associate yaoi with the taste of strawberries... And not just because of the fruity pun. *ducks stuff thrown at her*

Sorry, but I just have to do this. *groan*

You're one to talk, comparing Matthew in that one fic to an eclair. ;___;
Tuesday, October 26th, 2004 02:48 pm (UTC)
I couldn't help it! It was the way the author wrote it, honest! ;_;
Tuesday, October 26th, 2004 02:03 pm (UTC)
Er, sorry Bardiche. I forgot that you cook. ^_^;

I assume a Jatz cracker is like a saltine...? (And I know my own writing lacks real substance; therefore, equals a cream puff. XD)

Sorry, but I just have to do this. *groan*

*hangs head* Yes, I deserve that. But I couldn't think of a better metaphor/cliche... *^_^*

Er, sorry Bardiche. I forgot that you cook. ^_^;

It's ok, if my guess on what we're doing tomorrow is correct, we're still doing pastry. No strawberries here. (And if I'm dead wrong and we have to work with strawberries... I guess I can always make the rest of the class wonder what I'm on while I giggle about it.)

I assume a Jatz cracker is like a saltine...? (And I know my own writing lacks real substance; therefore, equals a cream puff. XD)

Pretty much, except Jatz crackers are generally used in dips (or have cheese put on them), and they're round.

I'd be a stale something. D:
Tuesday, October 26th, 2004 02:36 pm (UTC)
Your writing is so not stale! D: It's... It's... *flails helplessly* Somebody help me out here...? -_-;

Dang, I've run out of dessert metaphors... (I came up with one for Rosa, but not for you; I'm so sorry! *-_-* I promise I'll think up one, soon...)

BTW, the one I came up with for Rosa's writing was cherry cordials... (Except I hate cherry cordials. ^_^; Er, not that I'm letting that colour my opinion, that's just what I think her writing would taste like...)
Tuesday, October 26th, 2004 02:39 pm (UTC)
I'd be vinegar then.
Tuesday, October 26th, 2004 02:44 pm (UTC)
Your writing is like ... one of those dark chocolate mousse things. Cause it`s often dark, but really rich, and everyone loves it exept people who hate choclate (angst) :D
Tuesday, October 26th, 2004 02:58 pm (UTC)
D: Sad, since I hate chocolate. XD
Tuesday, October 26th, 2004 03:02 pm (UTC)
In THEORY. :p

(So do I, actually. :p)
Tuesday, October 26th, 2004 03:10 pm (UTC)
XD Of course, to add to the irony of all this, I love chocolate, but don't really care for angst, so...
Tuesday, October 26th, 2004 06:16 pm (UTC)
Same here, actually. ^^;; In fact, I'm semi-famous for my chocolate addiction...!
Wednesday, October 27th, 2004 08:23 am (UTC)
Yeah, that sounds like me too. XD Whenever I order a dessert out, or bake something at home, you can almost always bet there's chocolate in it. ^_~
Tuesday, October 26th, 2004 02:48 pm (UTC)
D:< Nuh-uh, no way your writing is that sour... Besides, your stories are far better written than mine are, so that makes you way better (and probably more healthier) than a li'l ol' cream puff like me. ^_~
Tuesday, October 26th, 2004 02:42 pm (UTC)
Why EXACTLY would my writing taste like Cherry Cordials? XD
Tuesday, October 26th, 2004 02:55 pm (UTC)
*shrugs, then thinks about it* Let's see... Your writing has a dark chocolate covering (angst), coupled with the rich filling (good writing) that just oozes out, when you bite into it...

...Er, but I'm sure you can come up with something better. ^_^;
Tuesday, October 26th, 2004 03:01 pm (UTC)
No, I like it, I was just curious!

You know, before FE, I nearly never wrote angst ... :p
Tuesday, October 26th, 2004 08:52 pm (UTC)
XD I'm dark raspberry truffles, huh?

Well, I'd definetely be some kind of dark chocolate.... thingy. 'Cos I write angst and darkfic, and I write a lot of it.

I also like to put interesting twists on really overused concepts, so maybe I'd also have some weird flavor inside that's really unusual.

Then again, occasionally I write snarky humor and parody, which I like to think of as sour candy: Good if you need a snack, but has a bit of bite and may leave your mouth stinging.
Wednesday, October 27th, 2004 08:24 am (UTC)
Yep... Dark, rich and tangy. ^_~

But I guess you could also be one of those trendy, odd-flavoured truffles I saw on Food Network once... (Trouble is, the only flavour of those I can recall is the curry-flavoured truffles... Ew. 0_o)
