Yes, I have an ego... Now hush. ^_~
Specifically, it's my writing ego that's recieved many deserving blows over the past few days... For example:
Instance #1: It was politely pointed out to me a few days ago that I spelled the word "cavalier" wrong in one of my stories (for some reason, I've been spelling it as "cavelier").
Now, I'm a person who prides herself on not using spell check (however, I do keep a dictionary by my computer). And I do know how to spell "cavalier". >_< The worst part is, that I've been making the same damn spelling mistake in each of my stories to date; and obviously, I use the word a lot. Argh...
Instance #2: I posted an unbetaed shonen-ai fic to one of my more obscure fandoms the other day, and someone was kind enough to offer to beta-read it for me... However, their suggestions (all totally valid, mind you) reminded me that I really need to work on my own writing mechanics more. -_-; Ouch.
Go on... Point and laugh at my wounded ego. ^_^;
On an equally annoying writing note, someone has posted a script style story on FF.net, and hasn't been reported yet. -_-; Now, I'm not going to report it, because I'm simply not that type of person... But I did put a carefully worded warning in their reviews (anonymous, because I'm a wuss that way *^_^*) that their fic might be taken down at any given time... Gah, I hate having to stick my neck out like that.
