FE story in progress

I've been considering writing a Kent/Fiora piece for quite some time (since I've written about every other canon Kent pairing ^_^;), but haven't been able to come up with a story idea for it... Until now. ^_~ (BTW, the title is subject to change...)


Night had finally fallen, after yet another long day of battle for Lord Eliwood's troops... In the army's current encampment, a pair of cavaliers from Caelin wearily entered the tent they shared.

"So, where are you off to, Kent?" Sain asked his partner curiously, after a moment. He had already taken his armour off for the night, but his fellow cavalier had still left his on. "We're not on sentry duty tonight, are we?"

"No, we are not," agreed the redheaded knight politely, as he adjusted his gauntlets. "If you must know, I have a meeting with the pegasus knight Fiora tonight; we have a few things to discuss."

At this, a wide grin spread upon his friend's face. "Oho Kent, you sly fox! You have a midnight rendezvous!"

Kent shot his companion a faintly disgusted look. "It is not a rendezvous, as you put it so lasciviously," said the knight stiffly. "We are merely meeting to discuss how to resolve the moral integrity of this army." At this last phrase, he fixed his partner with a rather pointed look.

However, Sain didn't appear to take the hint... "Of course, my dear Kent... My mistake," he commented, but by the sparkle in Sain's eyes, Kent knew that his friend had not taken him seriously.

"Still, I must say that I envy you, my boon companion..." added the brown-haired cavalier, with a sigh. "Alone, with the fair flower of the sky, Fiora... I doubt I would be able to control my impulses of love... Unlike you, my friend."

"Yes. I know," said Kent curtly. As he turned to leave, he pointedly ignored the slightly hurt look that his fellow cavalier gave him, as he exited the tent.


I find it difficult to write for Fiora, for some reason (perhaps it is because she is so similar to Kent, that I can't find a dynamic between them); but hopefully, I'll pull it off... Obviously, this story will be based upon Kent/Fiora's B support... (I might be able to finish this story by tonight, but we'll see.)

Oddly enough, I don't like 'Roses' that much. Heh. And no, I am not that great of a writer. :P
