I was re-reading my "To Catch a Thief" story last night, when this Farina/Matthew support just came to me, and started writing itself. ^_^

Farina: Hey, you!
Matthew: Who, me?
Farina: Yeah you, kid! Tell me, how much do they pay you?
Matthew: I hardly think that's any of your business...
Farina: Not much, I take it... Anyways, Lord Hector paid 20,000 gold for my skills in battle.
Matthew: 20,000 gold, huh? Hmmm, perhaps I should ask the young master for a raise...
Farina: Pretty impressive, huh?
Matthew: My, that is quite a large sum... But tell me, did you sign a contract with Lord Hector...?
Farina: A what?
Matthew: A contract, I said. Because if you didn't, his Lordship would have the ability to let go of you, at any time... And even take back his payment, if he chose.
Farina: He... He wouldn't dare!
Matthew: Maybe... Or maybe not. You wouldn't know for sure unless it happened, now wouldn't you...?
Farina: Grrr... That's it! I'm going to have a word with Lord Hector about this, right now...!
Matthew: Hold on a second... Why don't you let me help you write a contract detailing your services and payment? That way, when you talk to Lord Hector, you won't be cornered on the bargaining table.
Farina: You would be willing to do that? That's... Very kind of you...
Matthew: Don't mention it. Besides, I'm sure you'll find a way to pay me back, somehow...

Farina: Hey, Matthew... Did you finish writing that contract for me, yet...?
Matthew: I have it right here, and all ready to go... All it needs is your signature, Farina.
Farina: All right, then... Hand it over here...
Matthew: Hold it a second. We haven't discussed the fees for my services, yet...
Farina: Fees? For what? You just wrote something on a piece of paper!
Matthew: But it's a very valuable piece of paper...
Farina: Grrr... Oh, all right! How much is this going to cost me...?
Matthew: For you, Farina? Let's say... 20,000 gold.
Farina: What? That's my entire payment for this job!
Matthew: Take it or leave it...
Farina: Then you can just take it, Matthew, because I'm not paying! I'd rather take my chances with Lord Hector firing me!
*Farina leaves*
Matthew: Ah, too bad... I thought I almost had her there...

Matthew: Yes, Farina?
Farina: Look, I've thought about it, and... I don't suppose we could, well... Negotiate your fee for that contract you wrote...?
Matthew: Farina... Keep your money.
Farina: What?
Matthew: I must confess, I was only joking, earlier... There is no way that Lord Hector would ever take back the money he paid you... Despite the way he acts sometimes, he is simply not that kind of person.
Farina: Are you absolutely sure about this, Matthew?
Matthew: Positive.
Farina: And your payment...?
Matthew: Although I must admit that your fee is quite generous, Farina, I am a thief, after all... Besides, I make quite a bit of money in the trafficing of information, as well.
Farina: Information trafficing, huh? Hmmm, maybe I should consider going into that line of work... It sounds quite profitable. Plus, there'd be less wear and tear on my weapons...
Matthew: Then perhaps I should give you pointers in going into that line of business, sometime...
Farina: I'd think I'd like that. Only promise me one thing, Matthew...
Matthew: What's that?
Farina: You won't charge me for it...?
Matthew: Heh... I promise, Farina.
Let's see... So, that makes 5 2/3 fake supports that I've written so far; the 2/3 is for Sain/Vaida, which I haven't finished the A support for... *^_^* Plus there's always the tactician one, which I never really cared for (but still won't take down -_-;).
I noticed there are two left on my list of possible pairings I haven't done yet; Kent/Florina and Lyn/Guy, but I haven't come up with a complete scenario for either pairing yet... I was also considering doing Farina/Serra, but I fear that I'd be stealing someone's idea for that one... ^_~
