Holiday musings
Yeah, I know I haven't been around lately... But I thought I should catch up, anyways. ;)
Been visiting the SO's relatives down South for the past week; used the X-mas money from my parents to buy "Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn" for the Wii (which I haven't tried out yet, but I know I'll be bad at; I'm horrible at FE games, ironically enough :P), as well as some new clothes... But the best present of all is this:

His name is Tylor (named after the anime, "Irresponsible Captain Tylor"), and will be nicknamed Ty-cat (since he is a tiger-striped kitty :). He was a stray that a friend down in SC had found, and is about 3 months old now.

Tylor weathered the drive back to Illinois pretty well (tolerated the cat carrier far better than any of our previous cats did), and is now wandering the house, alternating between being friendly and skittish.
We'll probably pick up another kitten so Tylor has someone to play with (we've had 2 cats before). Still, I've never raised kittens before, so it should be interesting. ;) And even though the SO and I are still recovering from the loss of our beloved Buddha-cat, I consider it fortunate that we now have Tylor to ring in the New Year with. :)
