So... In the span of about an hour, my hunter managed to capture Karoma the ghost wolf, Sambas (a beautiful golden lion model), and Ghostcrawler, the spectral crab (yeah, named after the GM, LOL). The WoW gods must be smiling upon me today. O_o

The funny part is, I was just doing archeology on my DK in Twilight Highlands, when I came across Karoma; so I immediately hustled my hunter over there to tame it. Then I decided, what the heck, I'll check for Sambas... And he was there too. Then I thought, "I'll push my luck; I'll go look for Ghostcrawler in the Abyssal Depths!" And lo and behold... (Macro spamming FTW! ;P)

I have way too many spirit beasts now, heh. Also, Sambas is no longer neutral, and affectionately tried to claw my eyes out when I got too close to tame it. Aw... Ghostcrawler also kicked my newly lvl 85 to half health before he got tamed (Nerfbat indeed!)

Been playing my hunter in WoW lately... Specifically, I've been Rare Hunting (i.e. tracking down some of the more exotic-looking animals, and taming them as pets).

In other news... Dear whoever owns the farm field directly behind my house,

Please do something about the corn husks still in your field. Every few days or so, the wind picks them up and blows them all over our front yard, half-burying part of my rose garden in corn husks. Trying to pick up and untangle corn husks from thorny bushes = NOT FUN.

Normally I don't mind living behind a farm field, but this is getting irritating. (I wonder if we're getting karma for being the only house on our block without trees on our front yard...) Thank goodness for crop rotation, is all I can say; at least I know corn won't be planted there next year. :P

Whew, finally finished this one. This turned out way longer than I expected, for something so silly. (26 kB? What the...)

Anyways, this is another WoW 'fic, with Jadaar and Asric. It's not actually slash, but there's definitely innuendo and lots of gratuitous male nudity involved. ;P

Oh, and there's fighting; both of the arguing and physical type. (But considering the two characters that are involved, that's not exactly surprising.)

Yep, I finished two stories in one day. Who'd have thunk it? This one also has some slashy overtones, so be warned.

Like my other WoW 'fics (okay, so there's just one other completed one), this one is about Jadaar and Asric, my favourite crossfaction pairing. ;P This is kind of my take on how they ended up together.

The beta for the latest WoW expansion, Cataclysm, has just come out, along with a lot of new information... Including the emotes for the new races, the Goblins and the Worgen. :D

With their Brooklyn accents, I find that the goblin males remind me of Danny Devito, while the females sound like Janine from the Ghostbusters cartoon (which I've actually torrented recently, so I'm pretty sure about the comparison ;P).

As for the Worgen (aka the new werewolf race)... Is it wrong that I find both voices sexy? They both have English accents, which I am a sucker for (and even though the Brit players have been complaining that the female's accent sounds fake, I'm still loving her voice >.>).

As for the emotes themselves (some of which are NSFW, BTW)... While the goblins' jokes and flirts mostly revolve around profits and explosions, I can't help but love the worgen's jokes more... Particularly the female's bacon emote, as well as the digs at Twilight and furries. XD

Finished! :D This chapter was so much easier to write than the last one... It's a bit longer than the other chapters too; I may have to divide it into an epilogue.

I haven't finished a multi-part 'fic in forever; I'm so pleased with myself. ;) It's nowhere near NaNo length, of course, so I guess I'll work on my original fairy tale-like story next...

Geez, this chapter gave me trouble. -_-; I'm not why that is, since the other chapters went fairly smoothly, but at least it's done... I'll definitely have to go over it later, though.

Only one more chapter to go. :) That one should be easier to write... I hope.

Another chapter done! :D The next one shouldn't be very long either, so hopefully I can get it done by the time the weekend is over.

I'm dying to post this story to FF.net, but am reluctant to do so... Apart from wanting to complete the story first, I'm worried about the reception it might get if I don't edit it well. (I've never posted to the Warcraft fandom before, and I'd like to think that the story might be well-recieved... But I'm also worried that the grammar Nazis and the game purists will rip it apart. >_<)

Previous chapters are here: Prologue, Chapter 1

As I've mentioned before, I'm writing a WoW fanfic for NaNo, featuring a couple of NPCs named Jadaar and Asric. (Their in-game relationship has evolved from being at odds with each other, to becoming wary friends, which I've been trying to portray in my story. :)

Well, I just found out that these characters have new convos in the next major game patch. O_o My inner fangirl is both squeeing and groaning inside, because as much as I love the new interaction between these two, I'm also worried that it might contradict my characterization of them in the story (I've already had consistency problems with writing the story itself, since some of the minor game mechanics I've taken note of, have already changed since I came up with the original story idea, several months ago... XP)

At any rate, I need to finish this story faster. *scurries off to finish next chapter*

EDIT: Holy crap, they already moved those NPCs? How did I miss this? O_O; *grumbles about having to add a disclaimer about when the 'fic takes place*

...I knew I should've written this story months ago. >:P

Finished another chapter of my WoW 'fic, only... Three more to go. ;P Jadaar and Asric finally show up in the story (that's assuming you know who they are XD).

Usual disclaimers here, probably needs more editing, etc. (At least I'm somewhat content with how the mystery is progressing, so far. ;)

The previous chapter can be found here.

I haven't written as much I would've liked over the past few days, but at least I finished the prologue of my WoW story. :P Posting it here, in case anyone is interested... (Not posting the word count, since it's probably embarassingly low.)

Writing a mystery has been an interesting change of pace... Even though I keep worrying that I'm going to give away too many clues, early on. :P Still, that's what editing is for; this is probably still a rough draft, anyways. (I'm also a bit worried about my resolution to the whole mystery, but I guess I'll worry about it, when I get to that part. ;)

Sorry I haven't been around... I just can't seem to write or draw lately; I seem to be creatively blocked. :/ Ah, well... I'm sure I'll get over it, soon enough.

In other news, I did go on a trip to Wisconsin Dells this weekend, with a couple of friends. :) All in all, it was a really fun trip; we went to a huge waterpark, took in a magic show and an "adult" hypnotist show (which was... really adult), and did a couple of cool, interactive magic-themed games (the first one was fun; the second, not so much, although we got to keep the electronic wands ;). I may go into more detail later...

The only real downside was that my friend got sunburned at the water park, and my feet hurt like hell (uncomfortable platform slippers at the water park are a bad idea >.<).

Unfortunately, we got some more bad news when we got home yesterday; looks like my SO's WoW account got hacked. >.< We only have one comp with virus protection at the moment (which I'm using right now), but I can't seem to check my Battle.net account on it, so I'll have to wait until the other comps are clean so I can check. :/ (I did check my e-mail, which didn't show any changes to my WoW account, so hopefully it's okay...)

Figures we get hacked right when we go on vacation XP (although BlizzCon was this weekend; not sure if that had anything to do with it...)

Anyways, I really just wanted to let you guys know I'm still around. :) We now return you to your regularly scheduled Friends list...

I kind of want to write a locked door mystery with these two, now.

You see, there's a reclusive mage in Dalaran that's only reachable by a specific teleport spell... So I was thinking, what if he disappeared from his room one day, only to have a rogue teleport in as the other mages were trying to figure it out? And then Jadaar and Asric hear about the case, and try to solve the mystery so they can get their jobs back...

Methinks I've been watching too many mystery/crime shows lately (NCIS, Bones, Psych, etc.). :P

Or I could just try to write the smut that someone here suggested, because the UST is so there.

Um, at any rate... Working on an Ouran/Ranma 'fic at the moment. ^_^; (I'd be finishing it right now, but there's a chance I'd be interrupted while doing so, so it'll have to wait.)

Oh, and I also went back and tagged all my journal entries. XP They're pretty generic, but at least I won't have to go through all my entries if I want to find something, now...

EDIT: Just when I consider writing a Warcraft story, I find this, LOL!

I was PvPing on my fire mage Roy Mustang earlier, when someone asks me, "Are you a real mustang?" This prompts me to reply, "Um, no?"

Now, I'm used to people asking if I'm named after the character from FMA, or even if I own a Mustang (the car XD). But I was thinking he meant if I was the member of a sports team or something. ^_^;

So the guy proceeds to explain to me that a "mustang" is an enlisted soldier who goes to college and becomes an officer, or an officer who is killed and gets field promoted to officer. I thought that was an interesting fact, and that the definition actually fits Roy well... Well, the first one, anyways. ;) (Kind of reminds of me when I stumbled across a relevant dictionary definition while I was reading "A Separate Peace" in 9th Grade, and found out that Brinker's name suited him very well; a "brinker" being someone who talks about going to war, but never actually does it.)

This has been Avi's nerdy moment of the day; we will now return you to your regularly scheduled fangirling.

This is the dub VA for Edward Elric doing a parody of a WoW commercial. :D (To be honest, he doesn't seem to be using his "Ed" voice in it, but it's still amusing... To me at least. ;)

And on a related topic, I always get incensed when people rip on people who do the English dub voices for anime... Sure, there are some terrible dubs out there (Sailor Moon comes to mind, even though I have fond memories of the show), but most dubs these days are very well-done.

I always want to smack those elitist bastards who say that all dubs suck; some people have to watch, say, Cartoon Network to watch any anime, rather than download it all off the internet, you know...

Okay, got that out of my system. (Sorry about that, it really is one of my hot buttons. >:P)

Sorry I haven't been around lately... Still can't seem to get myself to write consistantly. :/ Can't even finish that smutty piece that seems to be growing more sequels, WTH? And I just got a couple of Sailor Moon plotbunnies nipping at my heels...

I have been gaming like mad over the past month, though... My WoW guild finally downed Illidan last month, then went ahead and kicked Archimonde's arse, thus completing all the raid content in the game until the Sunwell patch is released. (Game over, insert coin. ;)

I also finished playing Professor Layton for the DS recently; I haven't played a game this late into the night since Phoenix Wright (which I'll get to later ;). Prof. Layton satisfies my inner logic puzzle/mystery-loving fangirl; sure, some of the puzzles are mind-boggling, but that's part of the challenge! And I love the voice acting and FMVs (in a DS game, mind you!) I will definitely be looking forward to the sequel. :D

And as aforementioned, I've also tried out the latest game in the Ace Attorney series, Apollo Justice (the name still makes me laugh XD). I've only finished the first case, though I am looking forward to the next one, if only to see Kyouya/Klavier in action (aka Mr. Rock n' Roll lawyer XD).

Cut for Apollo Justice spoilers... Sort of. )

And I still need to finish playing Trials and Tribulations... Sigh.

In other news? Crunchyroll is made out of win. (Check out their manga section too!)

So I'm playing World of Warcraft on my lowbie blood elf mage, running around Mooonglade killing helpless deer and rabbit critters to get my skinning skill up.

The sad part is? I'm singing "Kill the Wabbit" from the old Warner Bros. cartoon while I'm doing it. XP

What? I was bored waiting for my hearthstone cooldown, all right? >.> (And for the record, I let all the squirrels live, since they don't give me skins...)

... Now, all I need is a spear and magic helmet. ;)

Whew, next chapter done. I wanted to finish this last Friday, but never got around to it... (It has nothing to do with World of Warcraft. Nothing whatsoever.)

(Okay, so all the new patch content left me preoccupied, not to mention playing with friends, doing Zul'Aman, raiding Mt. Hyjal and Black Temple... Yes, me and my friends are hardcorez. :P)

Hopefully my writing isn't sub-par in this chapter... The next one is probably going to take me at least a week to write (which is ironic, because the chapter after that is mostly done :/).

Thought I'd give everyone a heads up to where I've been lately (assuming you're still interested ;)P

Got brand-new Dell computer recently; it's like a Mercedes-Benz sitting beside the pathetic Volkswagon Beetles of our other computers. But although it'll play our beloved Worlds of Warcraft like a dream, it won't unzip files into its drives, so we're considering returning it. :P And of course, all my files from my old computer was put onto a CD as we upgraded the old ones, and I obviously don't want to to upload them into the new one for the moment... Sigh. (Yet another excuse for me to slack off my writing... Like I needed any in the first place.)

In other news, I am envious of all of you playing the new GC Fire Emblem; I saw the commercial for it on TV a while back, and was squeeing over it like the fangirl I am. ;)P

And speaking of my fangirlish tendencies, I can't resist noting that I'm now playing as a human mage and rogue on Worlds of Warcraft... By the names of RoyMustang and RizaHawkeye. (I'm such a dork...)

No, I'm not dead. Just preoccupied... With Worlds of Warcraft. *^_^* I play a level 60 hunter on Llane, for those who care... Yeah, I am seriously obssessed. (I might have to make a character on Alluria, now that Elzie has been hooked as well; I've always wanted to play a human, anyways. ;)P

Also got a new PS2 last month, so that has been taking up the remainder of my free time. -_-; Finally finished up the Weapon Master part of Soul Calibur 2 recently (I know, old game, but I love playing the SC series; looking forward to the new one!).

Odd thing about the new PS2... We have a old, broken 1st-gen version, but it's like half the size of this new one; and the manual for it is about half the size of the console itself. :/ Kind of reminds me of a quote from the book "Good Omens", about how to never trust an electronic device whose manual weighs more than the device itself. :P

Nothing else really new to report... Been enjoying watching "Night Court" again, on TVland (loved that show in high school; it's got that wacky humour that I like to emulate in my writing ;) and cringing at the new WB Saturday morning lineup (why must all cartoons be "to the extreme" lately? *shudder*)

We now return you to you regularly scheduled programming. *dead silence*
